Hotel Review: Saint John Hotel Villas & SPA Mykonos

Our Hotel in Mykonos:

We had choosen the Saint John Hotel Villas & SPA for our Holiday in Mykonos,
a beautiful 5* Hotel in Agios Ioannis, just about 4km from Chora (Mykonos Town)
As we wanted to explore some taverns and restaurants in Mykonos as well we booked it with breakfast,
but instead we also reserved a room with sea view.

Breakfast

The breakfast buffet was huge: ham and eggs, steamed broccoli, sweet pepper, feta, tomatoes, salmon, fresh omelette, pancakes, cakes, cremes, and a various choice of fresh fruits. The buffet leaves nothing to be desired!
You could also enjoy a glass of freshly pressed orange juice, wine, or even champagne.

The Room

Our room was spacious equipped and in typical Greek architecture. The bathroom was big with an amazing mirror (Yes!) and a whirl bath tub. Furthermore there was also a terrace with an amazing view over the Aegean sea. The room gets cleaned twice a day.

Hotel facilities

The Hotel is like a small village with a lot of small houses, a chapel, a mini market and an Internet hot spot. As the resort was built on a small hill we had to go downstairs for breakfast. On demand the staff brings you there with a small car and of course they also bring you back. We never used this service, but for older guests it is for sure a good idea.
All in all the Hotel is a real gem and I fell in love with the Greek architecture: everything is kept in white with some traditional Greek elements like potholes and vases. But the Hotel’s beauty is for sure the amazing infinitiy pool with salt water.
In the afternoon we relaxed there and we enjoyed ourselves. Just next to the pool was the pool-bar which offered some small snacks. We took there eyerday something, even the prices were quite high: French fries € 8,00, Pizza Margherita € 16,00 or a bottle of Heineken € 6,00.
The Hotel has also a private beach with sunbeds and sunshades. The water was clean and clear. As there were less sunshades we just went down to the sea to get a cooling and went then back to the pool. The guest structure is mixed with a lot of Americans, Russians, Dutch, Italians, French, but less Germans, Austrians and Swiss.
The Hotel service is praiseworthy: the whole staff is friendly and the really tried the best to make our holidays unforgettable.

In summary I have to say that we were really lucky with our choose of the Saint John. We can recommend it 100%.
And now enjoy my pictures 🙂
